Things to Do

The town of Sooke is an ocean front resort town located 60 minutes from Victoria.  Day trips to downtown Victoria waterfront or to see the Butchart Gardens are extremely easy to access from this location.

Attending the variety of summer markets held within the Sooke area is one of the host's favorite things to do. The markets are a great place to pick-up local veggies, a variety of food items, artisan creations and even local liquor offerings! Sooke hosts two markets weekly and there are many more within an hour or two of Seascape to attend.

Drive to Shirley (about 1/2 hour away) to enjoy a great cappuccino and bite to eat at Shirley Delicious and then continue for a few minutes’ drive to access a short walkway that leads you to the historical Sheringham Lighthouse.

Enjoy a beer at one of our local breweries or do a tasting at the local Sheringham Distillery which recently won the distinction of producing the World's Best Contemporary Gin!

Dine out at one of Sooke’s various local bakeries, restaurants, or pubs. The Seascape provides extensive info in the suites regarding all the area has to offer.

Visit one of the areas beaches which offer sand, pebbles or rocks depending on what you are looking for. Many are easy access while some require a bit of a hike for you to reach.

Whether it's biking, hiking, surfing, crabbing, fishing, boating, discovering the Sooke Pot Holes, walking Whiffin Spit, discovering sea life in the Botanical Gardens, having a picnic on the amazing China Beach, or just simply relaxing with a good book in the sun - there is so much to do in the Sooke area!
